After a long life lived in remembrance and reminding, in reading and teaching, subsisting on sincere love, our Shaykh—our blessed and noble example—passed away today, bidding us adieu with supplication and praise. He was the venerable ascetic and pious worshiper, Shaykh al-Hajj bin al-Salik Ould Fahfu, who spread the entirety of his benediction helping both relatives and strangers with his knowledge. We ask the Most High to bless him with a spacious dwelling in paradise, and bestow upon him the rank and degree to be among the Friends of God, and to perpetuate his grace by knowledge and blessing in the people.
